Roadside Vegetation Sprayers

Gregson-Clark offers a wide variety of spraying equipment options for roadside spraying and right-of-way vegetation control. Spraying solutions range from small, pick-up mounted skid units to complete custom built trucks. Our process begins with a discussion of your specific needs. We then design the sprayer based on your requirements using a mixture of stock or custom components. The result is a custom vegetation management sprayer designed specifically for you.  

When designing a right-of-way sprayer, we like to begin with the following questions to help us understand what you may be looking for. 

What vehicle will the sprayer be going in?
This will determine tank capacity, boom mounting and overall system design. Dedicated roadside trucks can have components mounted directly to the bed. Multiple purpose trucks can have fork pocket frames for ease of removal. 

What applications will be required of the sprayer?
will you be spraying over the guide rail or just up to the guide rail? If you are spraying ditches and embankments, how far will you need to spray? Do you need spray nozzles behind the vehicle? 

What is your target application rate?
You will need to know this along with your intended ground speed.

How many nozzles do you need?
Knowing the exact areas you need to cover will help us provide you with the right boom and nozzles for your application.

Do you prefer the boom mounted on the front bumper, off the side of the bed or in the back on a Reese hitch receiver?
We can do any one of these options, or a combination.

Do you need speed-sensitive rate control?
Often in roadside spraying your ground speed can vary. Your system can be equipped to match your nozzle output with your ground speed to ensure a consistent rate.

A GPS signal can provide the ground speed input and a special console can record your application and provide a map overlay.

Do you need chemical injection modules or will you tank mix your control products?
Water only can be kept in the main tank and one or two concentrated chemicals can be injected prior to the boom.

 Once we review your requirements for the system we will design the sprayer specifically for you. Once complete, we can ship the order to you for final installation, or we can install the sprayer at our facility. Turnkey options are available where you supply the chassis, we will build and install the truck bed and roadside sprayer.  Once complete the unit can be picked up from our facility or a drive away service can deliver to you.
